Monday 28th of September  CAMP UPDATE


Just to remind everyone, on Tuesday 29th of September we will be registering students in the main foyer at school at 6.40 am with an intended departure time of 7 am. I will be sending tweets over the course of camp week - hopefully 3 per day via the school twitter account - if the internet allows. If anyone needs to contact us, either email via: browning.m@gardenschool.edu.my - although we will only have intermittent internet access in Gopeng or in case of emergency please phone the school who will contact me directly.

General Update - CAMP / Student Leadership Applications!

As always, it has been a busy week for the Year 10 students. With the camp trip emerging on the horizon most of the year group have sorted indemnity forms and been sourcing items from the kit lists. Similarly to last year, I have made a shared FAQ sheet to deal with any questions about the trip:

This week, the students were also given some time and advice from tutors to write applications for the student leadership positions.  Just the process of writing an application is a particularly useful experience and so all students were encouraged to do this. Trying to articulate their personal strengths and qualities is not always an easy task. The student leadership positions are particularly sort after in Year 10 and the selection process that was outlined in an assembly by Miss Newton is particularly rigorous to ensure the right students are chosen.
